Guy Sips

Guy joined KBC in 2005 after the KBC/Almanij/Gevaert merger. At Gevaert he was responsible for a fund of quoted small & midcap stocks. He managed this fund till 2008. In 2008 he switched to the proprietary trading desk and since 2010 he specialised in Belgian small-cap companies at the equity research department.

Prior to this, he was portfolio manager at Quest for Growth, financial analyst at CERA Bank and he worked for the stock market newsletter Swingtrend and Trends. Guy was for 5 years a visiting teacher ‘Investment Theory’ and ‘National and International Traffic of Payments’ at Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen.

He holds a Masters Degree in Commercial Engineering from KU Leuven and published articles on the question: ‘Does investment advice realise exceptional returns?’
